EXHIBITION AT R O O M 4 ALFRED PLACE REDCLIFF BRISTOL BS1 6ST And NORTH CABIN ON REDCLIFFE (BASCULE) BRIDGE
e x t e n s i o n began as a curatorial collaboration between Nemia Brooks and Hannah Crosson (mentored by Sandie Macrae from R O O M). It will animate the spaces of both R O O M and NORTH CABIN on Redcliffe Bridge as well as the route between them. The two buildings and their locational connection form the basis for the works installed in the show.
NORTH CABIN on Redcliffe Bridge, about 300m away from R O O M is a small redundant half-glazed wartime construction made of concrete and glass. It mirrors its sister opposite which houses the control mechanism for the bridge itself.
e x t e n s i o n's two extraordinary exhibiting spaces, their proximity and their extreme dissimilarity, make rich sites for the artists to examine.
