ROAMING ROOM TO DUNGENESS
Contemporary Art and Architecture
Sunday 25 March
Roaming Room's first trip outside London goes to Dungeness to see contemporary art and architecture. Firstly we visit a video installation in Tom Wolseley's former electricity substation The Link House.
Then we will look at the exteriors of Prospect Cottage - Derek Jarmanís House, The Shingle House by Nord Architects, part of the Living Architecture project by Alain de Botton, and the Black Rubber house and the Amoebic House by Simon Conder Associates. From The Lighthouse we will view the surrounding landscape and then visit Denge - the location of Tacita Dean's 'Sound Mirrors'.
Famous fish and chips for lunch at The Pilot Inn.
